Светописец — one who writes with light
I learned light before I ever looked through a viewfinder. As an electrician, as a gaffer, on sets like "The Thirteenth Floor" – 850,000 watts for a single scene.
But I didn't learn light only on set. Years in Chile – the Andes, Tierra del Fuego, a sky that knows no compromise – shaped my eye before I knew I'd become a cinematographer.
That foundation carries me to this day. When I work as a cinematographer, I don't just see the image – I see the shadows, the temperature, the story that light tells.
Today I shoot feature films and series for German and international broadcasters. On the side, I develop my own material – screenplays for stories close to my heart.

IMAGE IS STORY
Cinematography is not decoration. Every image must tell a story that works without words. Light is emotion. Movement is rhythm. The frame is a decision.
EXPERIENCE HAS VALUE
Fast decisions under pressure, calm in chaos, the eye for details that only comes with time. Experience is not a disadvantage – it's a toolbox.
AUTHENTICITY OVER PERFECTION
The perfectly lit image is not always the right image. Sometimes truth lies in imperfection, in chance, in the moment that cannot be repeated.
COLLABORATION IS EVERYTHING
Film is teamwork. The best camera work emerges from dialogue – with the director, the lighting team, the actors. Ego has no place on set.
